You may not need a comprehensive financial plan to address the issues that concern you. However, the process we use to develop a plan is instructive in how we develop our recommendations for the issues that concern you.
Finance Arts uses a highly interactive seven-step structured approach to financial planning:
Step 1 Initial Inquiry
Once you have read the information on this web site, click here, call (609) 924-0040 or email to schedule a no-obligation Get Acquainted Meeting, then download the Confidential Questionnaire. Completing the questionnaire helps you pull together all of your financial information into one place - an important first step.
Step 2 Get Acquainted Meeting
This is an opportunity to exchange information about your needs and objectives and to discuss which of our services are right for you. You will also receive an estimated fee quote. If you decide to work with Finance Arts, you will be provided a list of additional information we will need to begin formulating your financial plan. One half of the estimated fee is due at the time of the engagement.
Step 3 Data Gathering & Initial Preparation
You will be asked to gather financial data and may need to complete a cash flow worksheet and/or risk tolerance questionnaire. Once we receive the necessary information, review and development of your financial plan will begin.
Step 4 Interactive Goal Setting Meeting
With a more complete picture of your current situation in place, thanks to the data and information that you have provided, we meet (in person or “virtually”) to discuss the information you have provided so far. We can then clarify your current situation and focus on your various financial goals and objectives.
Step 5 Analysis and Plan Formulation
The information provided is analyzed and any required research needed to prepare your financial plan is conducted. A final report is produced that includes observations and specific recommendations.
Step 6 Presentation of Your Financial Plan
Your customized financial plan is designed to help you meet your goals and provide you with a financial “road map” to help you maintain (or gain) control of your financial future. During the presentation meeting we will review all aspects of the plan, making sure that you fully understand the recommendations and instructions for implementation. Full payment for actual fees incurred is due at the conclusion of this meeting.
Step 7 Plan Implementation and Follow-up
Proper implementation of your financial plan is crucial to reaching your financial goals. You can implement your plan on your own, or you can continue to work with Finance Arts to assist in the implementation. Our relationship may continue on an as-needed basis or by engaging us on a retainer basis; however, there is no obligation to do either. You can call whenever you wish to initiate services (for instance, periodic reviews or changes in circumstances).
